The Greatest News in my Life

Well Guys,

Its time to let the cat out of the bag since things are now more official than they will ever be between James and I. So, here it goes. Last night at around 6 James and I met at a little cafe for dinner and later on headed to the nearest ice-cream shop. The usual route passes us through a mall and pass a jeweler boothe. I made mention of my graduation music playing and that today I must be having good luck. He immediately pulls me over and with the biggest smile on his face purchases me a promise ring right then and there. So, there I am with the biggest smile in my entire life. I mean we were just talking and we did go ring shopping before, but I really didn't think much of it. So, now it is totally official.

I HAVE A PROMISE RING FROM MY BOYFRIEND JAMES AND I AM THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

I never thought that within my life at this age it would happen. I am so happy that my smile is almost permanently plastered on my face (it really hurts *rubs face* ) I'll be taking pics of it soon. So, look forward to them, please :-D

Awesome Christmas Holiday Idea

Hey Guys,

I recently thought of this awesome idea for my friends who are coming to Japan or are already living in Japan (i.e. Liz, Megan, Pamela, and Lorin). I realized that some of you are having your first Christmas and New Years in Japan while others are on their second or more. I was wondering if any of you would like to spend the Christmas and New Year's holiday together in my apartment. Then later on we can all share a hostel room or get rooms in the same hostel for the up and coming winter Comiket. Which if I checked the dates correctly its December 29th-31st. So, I thought that this would be a great idea to catch up nicely and to spend the holidays together. If anyone can get in contact with Lorin (sorry, if I spelled her name wrong), please mention my idea. Though I do understand if she wants to spend with her family and all. So, let me know as soon as possible if you guys are interested though email me and I'll take it from there. Of course, things would be treated like how I would organize for a con, which you know I am perfectly ready to do. Well, that's all I have for now.

Quick Update

Hey Guys,

I know that its been a while since my last update. Things have been getting rather hectic between classes and a small part-time job that I have started recently. Not too mention the typhoon that passed. A lot of things have been going on between family and my boyfriend. I wish I could tell you guys more on what's going on, but its going to have to wait until it happens :-D

Putting that aside, things in Japan are doing fairly well. For my birthday, I wasn't able to do much, but the weekend was great. James and I did a little shopping and his birthday gift finally came in the mail. My beautiful red corset. My second one and its really good too. A beautiful blood red and is rather simple with steel boning. I definate have to thank Tom for if I never paid attention to the specifications on the type of corset that is considered good. I probably would have no idea what to get and would have ended up with a sucky corset. So, I am very happy with it. Of course, the strings in the back aren't long enough but a simple purchase at the nearest craft store will fix that.

On Sunday, James and I did a little photoshoot with my Rangiku cosplay. I will probably take more pics after I fix up the wig a bit. The same for James's Hitsugaya cosplay that I did for him. He keeps on loosing weight and I have to add more velcro to make it more adjustable, which of course I don't mind, but... It kind of gets frustrating when your boyfriend loses more weight than you after exercising for a year, but I won't let that stop me.

Oh, on a side note. I have deleted my Myspace account because I just don't go on as much. I still have my facebook, along with some others. My email address is going to be the usual celticknowledge@aol.com one. Please for those of you who have recieved the myspace thing ignore it because I no longer have a myspace account. Well, that's all for now. I hope you guys had a great weekend.

Hey Everyone,

I know its been a while and I haven't been on as much lately as I used to. Things have gotten rather busy and complicated for this year. Well, I believe in my last post I talked about going to Australia and Comiket. So, first I'll talk about Australia.

So, James and I woke up early July 28th to catch our flight from Narita to Kuala Lumpar (or however your supposed to spell it) and then make a transfer from there to Melbourne, Australia. It went smoothly with very few problems. The first flight James and I weren't able to sit next to each other but the transfer over we were able to. Kuala Lumpar Airport is really pretty and huge.
They had shops galore and plenty of stuff to do to keep busy. Once we made it to Australia, I had the honour and pleasure of meeting James's Mom (with bad flight hair and all the fixings that came with it). She was very nice. During the whole of the trip I met both Jame's Mom and Dad side of his family, which was rather overwhelming but I took it all in stride.
We went on a tour bus for the "Great Ocean Road," which was very beautiful. Wonderful views and I would suggest taking a tour of it if any of you guys get the chance. I visited Melbourne Zoo, the Eureka Tower, an Art Museum, many of the Arcades, Chinatown, and other stuff. I bought some souveniers like a Diabolo, a slouche hat (for my soon-to-be-made Pip Bernadotte costume), Kangaroo puppet (for my elementary school students), the Ultimate Edition of Dramacon, and other small stuff. I met a lot of James's friends which were all quite interested in me.
I have to say that one of the many memories from Australia I have. The one that sticks out the most was the day of our anniversary. We did some shopping and just casually enjoyed ourselves until it was time to go to the hotel. James and I walked to where it was (with getting a bit lost on the way) and we made it. Though it turned out that it wasn't a hotel but a bed and breakfast... AND (it gets better)... we were upgraded to a Suite with a King size bed because apparently no one was in the Bed and Breakfast place for the day we were checking in. They left this all in an envelope in the mailbox, which left me speechless and James very happy. We went inside and check out our upgraded room. It was amazing and cozy. A fireplace, egyptian cotten bath robes, and a bunch of other stuff that I only had the same pleasure to have when I was in Hawaii. Needless to say I had an amazing night :-D
Anyway, I felt very nervous most of the time, but James kept on reassuring me that things were going along well. Before I knew it time had flown and it was time to head back. I took a lot of pictures and video. Oh, I should also mention that during this time James, James's Mom, and I were getting together the Hitsugaya and Rangiku costume. (BIG HUGE HUGZ for Mrs. Bowditch and James being so helpful ) After coming back from Australia, we still had some work to do on the costumes. We rested some part of the day and worked through.

Well, that was the Australia Report. After we got back we readied ourselves and were soon off to Comiket.

Comiket Report )Well, we were able to get things together for Comiket. I was also able to get a reservation at the same hostel I used from last year's summer Comiket. I had also gotten a call from Megan that she was coming and that we were going to meet each other around 10-ish at Comiket. For the first weekend, James and I decided to cosplay a Neko Maid and Dante (DMC 4 version). After we met up with Megan and the guys We made our way to the changing rooms. The lines were long, the heat nearly unbearable, and no mirrors to help with fixing. I would never believe how long cons have been runned like this during Comiket without giving in to the idea of the cosplayers coming in costume.
My hope to have one of my props for my maid costume was denied, which made me a bit sad until I realized that the prop I had was made out of plastic with some metal so I quickly realized how stupid I was to have brought it (but at least I was willing to try ;p ) Once we met up with everyone I oogled at James looking so hot in the Dante costume XD until I realized that he was sweating profusely in the costume. As we were in the cosplay area I made sure James drank enough water. A couple of people took our photo and we even had some battle shots taken of us. It was really a lot of fun.
After an hour or two of that we headed to the Doujinshi area to shop for doujin. After that we ate and then headed back to the hostel to finish up some last minute cosplay stuff.... mainly Hitsugaya's wig. Okay, I will say it here and now that anyone who has cosplayed Hitsugaya I now understand your pain. That wig was the hardest thing I have ever done. Mind you I have never done an anti-gravity wig before, so the result was fairly good in my point of view. Anyway, James and I went through the round and ended up having a bunch of people taking pictures of us in our Bleach couple cosplay.
A lot of the Japanese seemed impressed that we stook to our roles despite the height difference. Which our joke was thoroughly understood as the height revenge. After that, met up with my mentor Nasumaru. Asked a couple of questions, did some more shopping. Then headed with everyone to Akihabara to have some good ol' fashion otaku fun. Unfortuneately, during the time at Comiket my stomach wasn't doing so well. I endured and had a great time with my friends.
On the last day, James and I just stayed at Akiba doing a bit of shopping. Then met up with Megan and the gang at Shibuya to go for more doujin shopping at Mandarake. After the shopping, we headed to Outback Steakhouse to have a nice steak dinner, which surprised James on how great it tasted. Then we said our final goodbyes and headed back home.
</div></div>

All in all it was a great summer. Filled with surprises at every turn. I never wanted it to end. Now since James and I have been together for a whole year plus a month. We have been talking about a lot of important things. Some of which involves our possible future together, but we are both pretty realistic about things and though I am hoping that things will turn out the way I hope. You always have to leave at least a bit of realistic possibility that it may not. I am very happy to be with James and hope for the best for us. We haven't had any problems and we are both candide (I hope I spelled that right) with each other. Well, wish me luck ;-)

Hey Guys,

Its been a bit. I know I only post once a month or so and haven't been on, but I was kind of wondering if any of you guys actually read my posts even for a little bit. Guess I'm wondering if anyone misses me as much as I miss all you guys. I have decided to stay another year in Japan and just to let you guys know. I live much closer to Akihabara than last year. Last year I was 2-3 hours away. Now I'm an hour and a half or so away depending on which train you take it can be quicker. So, if you guys want to visit me or need a place to stay while in Japan just let me know. All I ask you in return is either help keep the place clean or cook.

Guess you can tell I am a bit despirate to see friends. Though I have to say I am excited that by the end of the month until August 12th I will be in Australia. I'm getting more excited and worried as the time progresses. I'm working on the hakama for Jame and I Bleach cosplay. It will be fairly interesting since he will most likely be the tallest Hitsugaya I have ever seen ... Lol, but it doesn't matter. At least he's willing to try cosplay out. I will love to recieve emails from you guys, so please let me know what's up or if you want to talk to someone. I'm just an email and time difference away :-D Well, I'll talk to you guys later. Hope things are going great for you. Oh, congrat's to Vash for his engagement and congrat's to all you guys for whatever is coming up.

Enjoy people ;-)

Hey Guys,

Just giving you guys a bit of an update. Friday, I bought some cool pens that came in a variety of colors and refill cartridges. Met up with James and checked on some prices on fabrics for a couple cosplay we are planning. Had some awesome ice-cream and pizza for dinner. Nothing like a simple dinner to call a nice night.

On Saturday, James came with me to the doctor's to help me make an appointment since the staff speaks Japanese and all ^^; After that, we headed to an onsen near James's apartment to hit a day of total relaxation. It was great and relatively cheap. Though I do have to say it felt nice being naked in the air. Now, for those of you who do not know. The onsen aka Hot Spring is separated one side for boys and the other for girls. Though there are ones that have mix, but they are very rare now-a-days in Japan. Another note, is that it is very typical to be naked at these onsen's so its pretty much like most of the hot spring scene's you see in the anime including an outside hot spring, which I mostly bathed at. Its surprisingly comfortable like your Eve in the garden. The food was a bit expensive, but it was totally worth it. We both took a nice nap in the napping area at the onsen. When we woke up we decided to grab some ice-cream and check out the fabric store in his area. The one in is area had way better prices and deals than the one near where I live. So, I figured that once I get paid I will go ahead and buy the fabric for the hakama at least. After the price check at the fabric store we headed back to my place. James cooked up dinner and we spent the night watching B5 (Babylon 5).

Sunday came around and nothing much happened that day. James helped me with buying groceries and we had a nice lunch and simple dinner. We mostly spent the day watching B5 together. That series is surprisingly awesome. When I saw it once during the time it aired on the SciFi channel. It didn't really interest me until James made me watch past the first 5 or so episodes then I was hooked.

Things have been going rather well for James and I. Soon it will be our first year together. Grant it... he is the oldest man I have ever dated, but I have never met anyone that I can be so truthful to (and vice versa... or at least I hope) in my entire relationship life. Anyway, he is constantly bothered by a lot of the teachers and family about the possibility of us marrying and stuff. We did talk about it, but we're both waiting to see how things turn out.

Well, let me for once talk about my mind. There have been a lot of close calls and some things that I would like to confess. Though its mostly due to me withholding information, but I guess everyone has thier secrets. I just hope that I don't end up screwed in some horrible fashion. The job has been okay and though I love the kids. Some of the recent lesson plans are rather horrible and need sometimes need some major adjustments. What's worse is that some of the teacher's are not very willing to accept those adjustments and screw-up the entire lesson (while the lesson is going). Anyway, that's about it. I'm planning to go to a cosplay event at Tokyo Big Sight sometime this weekend. I'm hoping that the weather isn't too bad because I'm planning to go as a Neko Maid. Knowing James he will most likely accompany me to make sure no crazy Otaku "harms" me... LOL :-D

A Decent Update

Hey Guys

A lot of things have happened so far since my last entry. After graduation and with my contract for Borderlink over I decided to renew my contract with them for another year. Though, of course, I wanted to live much closer to Akihabara or the Tokyo area (which ever was the closest or got me the closest. They were able to set up an interview with the Kumagaya Board of Education office and I went in for the interview. To my great luck they liked me and was hired for this school year.

I made moving preparations with my current boyfriend James and we shared the moving service together. A lot of complications happened between moving and before, but things ended up working out. My new apartment has the same set up. The only difference is that its a bit bigger this time and I have a brand spank'n new washer and air conditioner. James and I are planning to take a trip to Australia during the month of August, which I am very excited about. Not to mention, I will be meeting his family face-to-face for the first time.

I have to say that ever since James and I met we seemed to have clicked quite well. Though we are both pretty level headed and are trying to keep our feet to the ground. Since, I am still unsure if I will be returning back to the States or not (Though for me that is harder than what I'm typing about.) During Golden Week, which is the first week of April, we went to Tokyo Big Sight to buy some doujinshi and other things. To my great luck I met a mentor of mine and she is planning to help me start a doujinshi.

I have thought about it for a while and have decided to do an Okami doujinshi. I went delve into the story details because I want all my friends to get my books, but I will say that the pairing with be Waka and Amaterasu :D It will be an R18 book, so I am looking forward to working it out. Oh, for those who might have went 'WTF' on the possibility that it will be a beastiality thing that is a definate NO! I am going to create a situation where Ammy becomes human, so sorry to those who are into it ^^;;

Anyway, on a separate note I have finished the major arcane for my Tarot Deck and are currently working on the minor arcane. I am really surprised at how well it really looks and if I am lucky I am planning to sell the deck here in Japan together with my doujin. Currently the weather here in Kumagaya is getting warmer as spring moves on and summer makes its intro. I have been busy with typing up story lines and some other projects as well. James tries to help me out with a lot of different things, but we are close to hitting out first year and we are both looking forward to seeing how that plays out. Well, anyway I will see you guys later and I hope you all are having an interesting year.

A Long Needed Update

Current Music: In My Daughter's Eyes - Martina McBride

Hey Guys,

Its been a while, so I'll go ahead with the update. I was able to get the job in Kumagaya, so I will be moving tomorrow to my new apartment. Unfortuneately, I checked out the address today and it seems to be a good ways away from the train station though it is relatively close to the schools I will be teaching at. So, even though its far away from the station I would rather be far away from the station than the schools ^^;;

Over the weekend I went to my boy's apartment to help him pack since he is moving, too. A huge situation came up and a mistake on my part was about to be made, but luckily with some motherly intervention the mistake wasn't made. Though now I have to rethink my relationship with my boy because this particular situation calls for it. I will not be taking advantage of, unless its the type I want (^_~)... LoL

For the first time in my life, well maybe not the first time, but it has come for me to reaffirm my priorities that have determined the way I live my life. I have come to realize how important certain relationships are especially with my Mom. I'm glad that I have such a close and understanding friendship and mother-daughter relationship. My Mom has helped me to reaffirm certain things in my life that has made me stronger. Sometimes I wish I could repay her in some form, but I don't think that its possible. Though that doesn't mean I won't try :-D

Anyway, though what needs to be done is the stuff with the apartment, which comes first. So, hopefully for today that will be one less thing to worry about.... or at least I hope so. The realty company has been less than helpful unless I have someone who speaks a fair amount of Japanese. Well, today I am planning to have lunch with my boy and to have his help with the whole reality company. Wish me luck with that everyone :-D

Hey Guys,

Well, today is the graduation day for my 3rd years in Godo JHS. The year has come and gone with good and bad memories with my students. Most have made it to the HS they want to go and some have become rounin (Cram school students to prepare for next years enterance exams). I will miss them all terribly. I created a simple slideshow as a graduation present for them which they all enjoyed watching. I wish my students such great luck and happiness in the future. Now I understand how my teachers felt on graduation day. How interesting that life should show me this side when I used to be on the other end. Well, I better go and see my 3rd years off. I hope I don't cry too much. (Though highly doubtful)

Current Music: I Just Called - Stevie Wonder

Hey Guys,

Well, here we are. Another year and so far its already going so fast. I can't believe its already February. During the this month and the next will probably be my most busiest for two main reasons:

1. I have to update my visa so I can stay in Japan another year.

2. I have to get help from my company to look for another apartment (which is somewhat going well)

Besides, those two things. Everything else has been a bit over done. I kinda feel like I'm being stretched out somewhat, but I am not too sure as to why. I have a lot of art projects that have been keeping me busy for some reason I just feel like something is wrong. Lately I have also felt like I have been going blindly on some things, but I am totally clueless on.

I've been having the major feeling of wanting to go home, but I also feel like I need to stay here and complete my second year. I seem to be more confused then anything else. Another thing is that I'm not that sure on stuff anymore, but I guess that's life. Even so, I am sure there are some people out there who have a definate grasp on things. Its not like I don't know what to do next. On the contrary, I know I need to get my Master's and start up my business while pursing my main career as an ESL teacher, but that I definately know that I don't want to be teaching forever.

I've been talking to my friend, a fellow ALT, and he told me that maybe what I really want to be is a 'Jack of All Trades.' For some odd reason, that phrase has been stuck in my head ever since he made mention of it. It has such a wonderful ring to it. A 'Jack of All Trades' how cool would that be. To have the constant deal of learning new things and to be applying them. (^_^)

Oh, well. Besides that unusual feeling. Spring is slowly setting in here in Japan, but winter is still trying to put up a good fight. I hope the warm weather gets here soon. It really gets beautiful in the spring, here in Japan. Well, that's it for now. I'll talk to you guys soon.

After Holiday Update

Hey Guys,

I know it hasn't been too long, but it kinda feels like that for me. Well, as usual I will give an update on what has happened so far. Around December 19th, 2008 my Mom made her way to Japan to spend the holidays with me. She stayed here for two weeks and we went to some places in Tokyo and Kyoto. We were supposed to make a trip to Hiroshima, but unfortuneately we both got terrible fevers and headed back to home to an English speaking doctor that lives near me. I took tons of pics. Below is the link to the pics:

http://www2.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=276901889/a=22390212_22390212/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink

It was a lot of fun! We got to see so many different things, like Kiyomizu temple, Kikakuji, the Ghibli museum, and many more. I wish we were able to go to Hiroshima, but I guess it couldn't be helped that both of us got sick. We were able to ride the shinkansen and I was able to go to Comiket. Unfortuneately, it wasn't for a long time because Mom got a bit closterphobic with all the people, so I guess I'm going to have to wait till next Comiket to get Nasumaru's doujin.

Speaking of doujin, I have decided to start one while trying to complete all the other art projects I have going on. I found a site that will let me earn money for my doujin, which to me is a pretty sweet deal. The bad part is that they aren't accepting parodies yet, so it has to be an original story, but that's ok. I have an idea for a story anyway (^__^) I've also taken up writting my life's story in a sort of mix of regular writing with small three panel comic strips. I find it pretty interesting so far, because I'm having a hard time keeping with the time line of my life. Hopefully, this will help me figure out where I am in life and who knows I might end up publishing it one day.

I'm still working on the tarot cards, and I am currently up to the Death card. I haven't uploaded that to DA yet, but if you are interesting in checking out my profile or art stuff that I have done so far, below is the link:

http://celticknowledge.deviantart.com/

Oh, concerning the last entry I said I would put up the link when I finish uploading all of the pictures, so see link below for those cosplay pictures:

Hmmm... Let's see is there anything else. Oh yeah... for the most part I did make it to having a relationship for a year, but unfortuneately things change and so I have made another chapter in my life. This might come as a shock for those who know about my private life while others might not be so surprised. Anyway, life moves on, so now I am currently exploring my freedom as it stands. Its Friday over here, so I might make my daily weekend trip to my favorite international bar.

Sorry, if I make it sound like I go there every weekend. I really don't, its just homie so it feels like my daily hangout. Besides, the fact that the owner of the bar now knows me by name (^^;) Not too sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Anyway, I enjoy myself and I guess that's what's important. I have fully decided to do another year and after that I am coming back to the States. Once back, I will continue my education and persue my Master's degree while trying to save up and start my business. Well, there are a couple of events that will be happening in Tokyo, but because I have to save up for my possible move to another apartment. I can't go. Maybe I can pull off some close by photoshoots.

Well, that's it for now. I'll talk to you guys later.

Holiday Update

Hey Guys,

Well, its that lovely time of the year when a bunch of holidays start happening. So, first I'm going to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Now time for my usual update. ::clears throat::

Things from the last time I posted haven't changed much except I did update my apartment a bit. I recently bought a bookshelf and now my apartment looks exactly how I want it to. Now all those doujinshi, video games, manga, and other stuff have a place to go without taking up space in my closets. It actually feels rather homie now. I printed up some pictures of my family and hung those up on one of the walls. Oh, before I forget. My cousin gave birth to my new second cousin.

His name is Tristan and both he and the mother are doing swimmingly. I've been really excited recently and the reason for the is because tomorrow my Mom will be coming here to Japan, and I can't wait till she get's here. I've been thinking of places to take her and things for her to see. I just hope we have enough money to do it all (^^;) Love life wise, things are pretty... somewhat... normal.

My company recently sent out a questionair to find out if the current ALT's are going to renew thier contracts or not. I, of course, said that I will but that I would like to take the option of moving closer to Akihabara. Not for anything, but traveling to Akiba is like going from Brooklyn to Washington D.C. for me. Its literally 3 hours to get there, and if none of you believe me ask Arron he'll vouch for me.

Good thing that's coming up this winter is the fact that I will be able to go to Comiket. The bad thing is that I won't be able to buy Nasumaru's new doujin comic since she is coming in on Monday to do that and I will be in Kyoto by that Monday :(

Hopefully, I will be able to contact her to see if I can purchase it through other means. Dante costume wise things are going ok. I fixed what needed to be fixed and I posted a decent pic of me on my motorcycle-looking bike on Deviant Art. Below is the picture:

Man, I love Dante ::fangirl scream:: I recently went to a official cosplay photoshoot at Tokyo Big Sight which was tons of fun. I haven't seen so many awesome cosplayers in my life, and to think that a good portion of them buy thier costumes is amazing all by itself. I haven't uploaded a lot of the pics yet, but when I do I will make a post about it for you guys later. Anyway, I better get back to work and all. Gotta' look like I'm working and stuff.

A Month's Update

Hey Guys,

I know its been a while, so I guess I'll give you guys a bit of an update. Concerning my last post talking about the Halloween lesson at the end was a total success. I scared so many kids and they loved the entire set-up. I read them a scary story with the works. Had scary sound effects in the background, closed the curtains and opened a window or two so that way it was cold and that it moved the curtains in the right way. I made a graveyard and had fake battery powered candles. I even took the time to make huge origami ghosts and bats.

I was so happy that the students really had a lot of fun. A good portion of the boys actually were quite scared, which was quite surprising compared to the girls. (Guess things are more backwards than it seems ;P ) Anyway, after the wonderful Halloween lesson that I had to do two day's straight all day. I basically TKO'd over the weekend. For Halloween I went to my favorite international bar called Spritz and had fun at thier Halloween party. I dressed up as a Neko Maid Slave. Let's just say also that it wasn't fun walking from the station to the bar because they're is a red light district that I have to pass through (-_-;) I was lucky that my friend James met me at the station to be my body guard. Not too mention that his costume was a boxer and was really kewl. I later on helped him with making a bruise with a bit of make-up that I had.

It was a lot of fun. I was even able to keep up my traditional Halloween tarot reading, which for the first time in my life. I had to do a bilingual one to a Japanese woman... try telling her that she will be happily married in her future in Japanese (now that's hard) Anyway, let's move on to other stuff.

I'm not really sure if whether or not I talked about the Dante costume, but it finally came in and at the perfect time too. I recieved it sometime last week on Friday and it was near perfect. there were only two problems with it. One was the gloves were totally lame and two, the sleeve length was too long. So, I am currently remaking the gloves and fixing the coat. Its starting to look much better. I am also thinking of remaking the shirt too, but that will come later.

The lessons and stuff have been alright. I had a bit of a scare with a couple of students stalking me, but that has been rectified... hopefully ::prays::

Anyway, besides that things are relatively ok, and I can't wait to post the pic of my Dante costume on my cosplaylab.com profile. Oh, I have been also making my own tarot cards using only male anime/manga/video game characters. Its going to be an interesting deck to say the least... LOL. Well, I'll talk to you all later.

Hey Guys,

Well, I got back from Hawaii on October 10th in the evening. I did so much kewl stuff :D but before I go off into random tangents I guess I will start from the beginning of the trip and I will hopefully keep everything in order.

Hawaii Report )</div></span></div>Things got to normal when I got back from Hawaii, and unfortuneately I caught a cold because of the weather difference. I have been preparing my Halloween lesson which has been fun so far. Some of the kids and teachers can't wait to see what I am going to do and how the students are going to react. Well, that's it for now. I came away with a lot of gifts from Hawaii and the most wonderful experience too. Thank you everyone for the b-day wishes.

Though they are coming in the evening around 6 or 7. I will be in Hawaii at 9am. Man, I wish I could have gotten a later flight, but it wasn't possible. Anyway, I am looking forward to doing a bit of sightseeing and relaxing. Nothing is better than chilling at the greatest paradise in the world. First thing I am going to do is order a Domino's Pizza... LOL! I bought new clothes and stuff, since I lost weight I am going to look amazing... or at least I hope I will.

News on the front over here is that things are normal. Work is work, though we did have a sports festival not too long ago and I took tons of pics about 700 photos. I will post the link to it later on. I am planning a huge Halloween lesson, so that way the kids over here can experience Halloween to some degree. Guess... Its Been A While (^^;)

Hey Guys,

I know its been a while and I think the last time I talked about stuff that happened on a certain decision. Of course, I am intending to keep on to my goals so nothing has changed in that sense. As of recent, I feel that things have changed but there is thing lingering feeling. I feel like something important is going to happen, but that I won't be entirely in my mind when it happens. I know it sounds dumb or something, but I have been feeling like this for about two weeks or so. I kinda feel listless too... Missing all you guys has seriously made things rather boring sometimes. I got back to playing my usual video games and such, but it only keeps my mind off of reality but for so long.

Things at home are doing ok. Not sure if I mentioned this but my bro had fallen some time ago and needed a cast. He's okay now since the cast is off and he's back at work. My Mom is kinda excited since I have taken over figuring things out itinerary and reservation wise for her trip when she comes to Japan. I think I might have saved my Mom some cash, which can be put to use for food and souveniers, while she's here. My oldest cousin is due to have her baby on my birthday, so now I have something to look forward to if the baby stay's on schedule. I hope its a girl :D

Though I have made friends here in Japan, I just feel that there is something desperately missing. Lately, a guy friend of mine has been coming over every weekend. Grant it we don't do much in the way of talking. We mostly play video games and talking serious subjects like religion and stuff as we walk around. He's like 37 years old, but I appreciate a lot of his experiences since he's lived in Japan for about five years. He's from Melvin, Australia and half otaku. Kewl thing about him is that he wants to cosplay Ichimaru Gin from Bleach. He knows how to do the creepy smile and does it every time we watch Bleach and Gin comes on. He makes me laugh a lot and he has wierd tastes when it comes to music, but he's interesting none-the-less.

Anyway, things between Rob and I are okay. Hawaii is ever moving closer and I am getting more and more nervous. Rob once said this thing to me one day and it has me thinking things, but I am sure I was taking them out of context. Probably just me thinking stupidly. Though I know I am a decent person there is no way.... that... THAT!! Would happen... I'm just.... Anyway... I am been feeling uneasy and I just don't know what to do. Things feel like they have been out of my hands for some time or that I have too much control. Either over myself or something else... AAAAHHHHHH ::messes up hair:: I just don't know. G-d, when will everything become clear (T_T)

Wish you guys were here. I miss you all terribly and I hope all of you have a great time at NYAF or whatever the nearest con coming up is. Oh, I forgot to mention. If any of you guys are into Hellsing Yaoi I have recently written a fanfic called Failed Assumptions. For my first one, I think it isn't too bad. Its posted on both Deviant Art and Adult Fanfiction. Please read it sometime and give me your best criticism. I am currently working on an Anime Male Characters Only Tarot Deck and a new fanfic. The second fanfic is a crossover with Hellsing and Devil May Cry, since they are relatively within the same time line. Well, that's it for now. I have to head to bed.

Miss you all ::waves::

Well, Its Been A Long Road... Decision Time

Hey Guys,

As the title suggests its decision time. I know I have plenty of time to decide whether or not I will stay another year, but today I found some crucial information that has fixed the balances on this important decision. I have done research and found out that there is a requirement of two years needed in order to become an ESL teacher. So, because of that and since I will be finishing my first year soon. I am going ahead and applying for a second year. Even if things don't work out for me with the teaching deal at least the two years of experience will look good on my resume one way or the other.

I know that there are some people who I have already told. Some of which are against me staying and wanting to come back to the States. Then there are those who are supporting me (which Thank G-d those numbers are higher than the latter) I've had a hard time deciding what to do and believe me. There were way more factors to take in then I had originally thought.  So, there you have it.

I will be doing another year here in Japan, before I head back to the States to persue my teaching career. I hope you guys who are against me staying understand, and for those who support me Thank you and keep up the support :)

Well, talk to you all soon!

Comiket and All That Details

 Hey Guys,

Well, this past weekend specifically August 15th to the 17th was Comic Market weekend and what an awesome con it is. There are of course pros and cons to every con but this was one was definately a plus on the Otaku meter of awesome-ness.

Friday:
Okay, so I wake up at 3 in the morning to meet my friend Hank at Ota station to take the Ryoma express and after some transfers get to Tokyo Big Sight, which is where Comiket is held, around 9. (I know that was one hell of a train ride ^^; ) So, we wait in the long a$$ line for about an hour in the sweltering heat. Mind you, I of course did research and took the necessary precautions but nothing could have prepared me for this heat. The con opened officially at 10 and got inside the con at around 11:30, which thank G-d we did because if we waited any longer I would have passed out.

Reguardless, I was sweating it up with the rest of the Otaku even inside the building. The first thing I did was run my excited Otaku butt to Nasumaru's table. I mean, I came all that way to Comiket just to see Nasumaru and her awesome doujin. (Her art is so AWESOME) I get there as fast as Comiket staff and the Otaku crowd would allow me, which isn't very fast mind you  ) I get there and there she is. The amazing Nasumaru. I went total fangirl, but at least a controlled fangirl. She told me that she was happy to put a face to the DA name Celticknowledge. I bought everything and asked her a lot of questions like: How long does it take to make a doujin? Do you go to a publisher? Do you really do everything in photoshop? Do you have a writer or do you write and draw it yourself? Things of that nature. After a while, she offered to draw a sketch for me.

I spazzed and then realized that I didn't have my sketch book on hand. She told me that there is a place near the enterance to get one and I did. She told me the sketch would be done around 2. I said my 'See you laterz!' and happily headed towards the dealers room. After a long walk in the saultering sun I finally made it back inside to the dealer's room, which by the way is nothing like the ones in the States. The dealer's room seems to be mostly comprised of big named companies giving out promo's and some places where you can buy stuff, but it wasn't much. I asked one of the staff member's if they new if one of the booth's sold anything Hellsing related and thank G-d there was at least one.

The staff guy was even nice enough to escourt me to the booth. When I got there, he asked the guy who was running the booth and they showed me an official Hellsing OVA phone card with folder. I was spazzing because the art on it was awesome. I bought it and thanked the guy who was running it. The Manager, or at least that's what I'll call him for now, told me that the producer of the Hellsing OVA was there at the booth too and pointed to him. At that glace, I was like "HOLY SH*T!?!" and probably had the biggest smile on my face. The manager then asked if I wanted to meet him and I looked at him with a face that said, "HELL YES!" He calls him over and I was so upset at myself because I was sweaty and my hands were sticky that I thanked him by bowing and he took my hand to shake it which made me feel worse on the fact that he had to shake a sweaty sticky hand. Anyway, the guy was really nice and I asked if I can have his autograph. He laughed thinking that he was probably not important to be asked that but he obliged and even drew a chibi Alucard on the Hellsing stuff I bought. I thanked him and the manager a number of times before I left with the biggest smile on my face. After some wondering around and purchases. I went back to Nasumaru to pick up my sketch. She did the most awesome drawing of Alucard and Anderson that I was about to squeel. Anyway, time moved on and Hank and I went to Akihabara for lunch.

We finish lunch and buy a couple of stuff there. Mainly, survival stuff for the next day's excursion to Comiket and then headed for the Hostel to spend the night. Oh, my friend Arron from NY was coming to Japan so we met up at the hostel. Hank headed back home after he escourted me to the hostel.

Saturday:
Next day, Arron and I make it to Comiket a bit later than usual. We got there around 9:30-ish and ended up much farther than when Hank and I were on Friday. We got inside about the same time as Hank and I and headed for the East side for his choice of doujin. I leave him at the long line to go DMC doujin hunting. Which, by the way, came away much more successful than I thought :D We leave around 2:30 to head over to the hotel before the storm hit and to rest up a bit. We then do some night life stuff and karaoke, and got back to the hostel around 12:30-ish. We decide that we won't go to Comiket on Sunday, but will chill in Akihabara instead.

Sunday:
We both buy more doujin. I get another set of a series of Naruto doujin that makes me ever so happy and end the day heading back home.

Oh, I totally forgot to mention that on Saturday afternoon through Sunday it was raining like mad, which was a factor for not going to Comiket on Sunday. I realized after a while that Comiket is separated not only by doujin circles, but by series, and general genre for each day. For example, Shonen stuff seemed to have been for Friday. Video games and some original stories were for Saturday, and since I wasn't there for Sunday. I can't tell you what it would have been, but I'm guessing that Shojo doujin would have probably been next.

Well, that was my entire weekend. Oh, the second plus is that my Mom gave Arron my PS2 so now I can finally play my old video games :D On a side note, I know now what a long line really is. No one can never say 'oh, this line is long' until you've gone to Comiket then you can say that :)
